U.S. postpones meeting with Pakistan and Afghanistan

U.S.-Pakistan ties have been strained over the alleged murder case of a U.S. diplomat. Raymond Davis, an employee of the U.S. consulate in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore, shot dead two Pakistanis on Jan. 27, sparking protests in Pakistan and a diplomatic row between the two allies.

The United States has reportedly suspended all high-level talks with Pakistan and several congressmen have threatened suspension of aid if Davis was not freed.

Davis claimed that he acted in self-defense as the two armed men wanted to rob him. A court in Pakistan on Friday sent him to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

Good to stick to our guns. If it were a Pakistan diplomat they would scream diplomatic immunity.

Obama's a Pu$$y. If this were President Bush or if John McCain were President this guy would have been out of jail that first week.

Is there an "upper hand" the US has with Pakistan nobody knows about? I mean how much clout do you have if you continue to whip up unrest in the country with endless drone attacks?

Ummmmmm, the drone attacks have all been done with Pakistan's help. Pakistan is a country that is about to fall apart. They don't want to face the might of the US Military.

The might of the US military is going to keep it together?

Don't think so.

That government in Pakistan is as much a house of cards as any in the middle east.

Everything he has done since elected as a first term Senator to POTUS has shown the country that he is a yellow coward. The facts are in his actions and lack of action.
