New poll stuffed with 'bad news' for Biden, Democrats

"The latest Morning Consult/Politico poll, released Wednesday, is filled with "bad news" for President Biden and congressional Democrats after a rough couple of months for the party.

Biden, who has seen his approval numbers dip in many surveys, especially after the United States' chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, hit his lowest mark in this particular poll since he entered the White House, while his disapproval numbers reached their highest point so far.

Voters have also increasingly come to think that Biden and Democratic lawmakers have failed to live up to expectations. Biden was hit with a 12-point jump from June in terms of respondents who believe he has achieved less than they expected. For congressional Democrats, the overall number was just six points higher than last time, but it leaps to 13 when zeroing in on Democratic voters.

Perhaps most worrisome for the party, though, is the fact that congressional Republicans have closed the gap in the generic ballot to just 1 point."

Biden’s Approval Rating Sinks to New Low

"In Quinnipiac’s latest national poll, released Wednesday, 38 percent of respondents approved of Biden’s performance while 53 disapproved, a record low for his presidency, and a decrease from three weeks ago when 42 percent approved of his performance.


The new data brings Biden’s average approval rating across multiple polls down to a record low 44.6 percent, according to Real Clear Politics.

Republicans are overwhelmingly dissatisfied with Biden’s conduct as president: 94 percent of GOP respondents to the Quinnipiac poll disapprove of his performance. A majority of independents (60 percent) also disapprove of Biden’s work. Eighty percent of Democrats are content with Biden’s management of the country, while ten percent are not."

ABC Skips Disastrous Polling Plunge for Biden, NBC & CBS Give Seconds

"On Thursday, ABC’s Good Morning America completely censored a new Quinnipiac poll showing President Biden’s approval rating had plummeted to 38%. NBC’s Today show and CBS Mornings did manage to cover the bad news for the Democrat, but only offered seconds of air time each.

“Democrats hoping to pass the massive spending plan by the end of October, with President Biden in need of a boost now,” correspondent Garrett Haake noted on NBC, before explaining: “A new poll showing his approval rating dropping to 38%, the lowest level of his presidency yet.” Those remarks only came to 12 seconds."

Actually, I would expect Republicans to win big in the 2022 congressional midterms--especially in the House--since the party not in power in the White House has done very well in almost all off-year elections, ever since 1948.

And given the fact that Biden is polling very poorly now as concerning most subjects--and the further fact that Independents (who are really the all-important swing voters) seem much closer to the Republicans now than they are to the Democrats, according to the polls--I would imagine that Democrats are headed for a disaster in 2022.

And this is especially so if Biden does not make a mid-course correction (as Bill Clinton did in 1996).
