Default Poll: Voters back abortion rights, funding for Planned Parenthood

A majority of Americans oppose cutting funding of Planned Parenthood and support the Supreme Court's decision in Roe v. Wade to legalize abortion, according to a new poll released Friday.

Sixty-two percent of voters oppose cutting Planned Parenthood's funding, while 31 percent are in favor of doing so, the Quinnipiac University poll found.

And 70 percent of Americans support Roe v. Wade, while 26 percent disagree with the court's decision.

In a question giving voters four options on abortion, nine percent said it should be illegal in all cases, while 28 percent said it should be legal in all cases. Thirty-six percent said abortion should be legal in most cases, while 22 percent said it should be illegal in most cases.

The survey was conducted from Jan. 20-25, polling 1,190 American voters across the country. It has a margin of error of 2.8 percentage points.

For every single day ObamaCare was being debated, the day it was passed, and every day since, it never had a majority of voter backing...

Democrats only run to the polls when they seek some sort of political advantage...When the polls are actually against them, well "shut up!"...

You better hope and pray the GOP does demonstrably better than the ACA.

This isn't true.

Obama was re-elected in 2012, and Hillary had 3 million more votes than Trump. Both ran on keeping the ACA.

Polls said Trump would lose,so I do not put much faith in polls these days.

Jeepers, if the polls are accurate then there should be no problem allowing the states to determine if abortion should be legal or not instead of today's rule by judicial fiat. If the polls are so indicative of support for abortion proponents ought to be clamoring for referendums.

The ACA was not a major issue in the 2012 Presidential race. Republicans foolishly nominated the one candidate that couldn't mount an effective attack on it.

Hillary's popular vote margin came from one state, California. That doesn't mean the country supports the ACA or any of her other policies. If you are so in favor of rule by democracy why not allow the states to make abortion law by referendum? Oh wait, proposition 8 in California didnít turn out the way it was supposed to so no more democracy, public opinion polls are good enough.

"Only 16 percent of voters say President Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress should repeal all of the ACA, while 51 percent say repeal parts of the law and 30 percent say don't repeal any of the ACA, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds." (Bold added)

So, a total of 67 percent (more than two out of three) Americans believe that either part or all of ObamaCare should be repealed...
