Default What might be the next big move in Space

Can you predict what Science, the Military Industrial Complex and our Govt., might set in motion as the new item in far off Space.

Might it be a landing on Mars or one of the newer discovered planets? Or to build a new space cruiser with a totally new propellant system, causing the cruiser to travel 10 times faster than anything ever before.

Or have you read a new article about something most of us are unaware of?

So far I am the only vote.. For a new type space craft that goes fasterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Zoom.

Mining the moon is likely useless as it is comprised of the same geo makeup as Earth. About the only advantage would be a terribly toxic material world inhabitants don't want to mine here.
If we mine the moon for anything, it would be to provide materials for a launch to other planets or stars. Now that we know about the extensive lunar cave systems, this concept has become quite logical with today's ( and I mean 20th century) technology.

As for a new high speed engine for space, it conceptually exists but will not work for Earth launch. Also favoring a permanently operating moon launch pad is the speed the moon orbits the earth gives any launch from there a velocity boost. Since the moon does not spin on it axis in relation to the earth, a properly located launch pad could use the Earth's gravity well to slingshot a craft to even higher velocities. And launch windows would be regular and wider. Without weather, launch windows would also be more reliable.

No human has even stood on the moon for over forty years. Why not?

NASA Releases Climate Change Images As Trump Still Claims It Doesn't Exist

Shrinking polar ice cap. Images: NASA

NASA research concerning climate change will certainly cease under Trump. He is placing his people in NASA management positions ... all climate change deniers.

In addition, Trump's freeze concerning federal contracts will also adversely affect the space agency.

Having nothing to do with space travel. Or this thread topic. You guys are unhinged for sure.

What is wrong with you?

What NASA needs to do is worry about their original mission. Up at the stars, Not relations with Islam or Climate change. President Erkel has left the building. We have agencies fully funded and targeted with the terrestrial missions.

National Aeronautic Space Agency.

BTW, You are confused. Trump does not deny climate change. He doubts Anthropogenic Global Warming. They are not the same thing.
As for climate change, it always has. Adapt or die.

I know you're not too bright, but satellites ARE in space. Unlike this 14th century mindset administration, previous administrations funded NASA contributions to study facets of global climate change.

Thread topic is
Can you predict what Science, the Military Industrial Complex and our Govt., might set in motion as the new item in far off Space.

This is the thread topic. Even this dumbsh*t knuckle dragger can fathom the meaning of FAR OFF SPACE.
Again, what does that have to do with AGW?
