Now if we could just get our leaders to do the same --- maybe something positive would get done.
Honestly Gordon Thats why I like this site. People on other sites get so personal and regurgitate the talking points of their parties that they never realize that they may not be that far apart. If all there were were Democrats here I'd be gone faster then you.

I would like for the abortion issue to be revisited with something other than a case involving privacy-which I think is weak and doesn't address many concerns.
After that it's the war, the economy and health care in that order.

Economy, war, and then the others. If we allow same sex marriages why not allow the abortion? Just asking, I'm not saying anything else.

What in the world does same sex marriage have to do with abortion?

I can't imagine two subject less likely to be a combined issue.

Economy. This one I think should get top billing.
War.

I would like to see something serious addressed on Pensions / Retirement. George Bush gave it a serious effort in the past, and then was unfortunately beaten down without any competing ideas proposed from opponents. That level of partisan attack was stupid on multiple levels. Kind of like criticizing the fire chief cause he wants to get his water from a specific source, telling him "no", then failing to do anything else about the fire.

Other factors "could" play a part, but don't because the two candidates are relatively similar enough on those issues for me to care.
Like if a candidate wanted to enact a constitutional amendment to make sodomy illegal, or to prevent gay adoption, that would be a deal breaker.
I think McCain has basically said that he *won't stand in the way* of his party's society legislative attempts, and considering the best they have tried (and failed) is the "gay marriage amendment", it's a moot issue.

Gues you didn't read the entire post. And your opinion isn't important to me.
Now go ahead and call me a gay basher.
My record on the topic is well known and you know it. So play games with others, not me!

My top concern is national security.

LoooooooooooL Like the GOP selection is any better. I say don't vote at all and send a message or lets select one independent and all vote for the choice. Me or Lou Dobbs, is my picks for now. I can get involved if this picks up.

Whether or not it's "important," don't expect to write stupid things on a public message board and not have them addressed by others ... even by those whose opinions aren't important.

Now go ahead and call me a gay basher.

I didn't call you a gay basher. I didn't call you anything. If I had, I would have called you an ignoramus for putting gay rights and abortion in the same issue...as it's quite rare for a gay couple to have an abortion issue. D'uh.

My record on the topic is well known and you know it. So play games with others, not me!
gee. I guess your "record" isn't all that impressive. I'm not even sure who you ARE, let alone what your "record" is. The only thing I've seen you post consistently is your indignant "I'm putting you on ignore" messages when somebody shows what a jerk you're being.

Play games with you? Sorry. I get bored with playing with children.
