Believe me when I say that I appreciate that very....very....very much!

Suffice it to say then that I won't be voting for Bob Barr because of his position on the war in Iraq.

Well, I just watched Bob Barr's interview on Fox News' Chris Wallace show. I must say that I now not only cannot support his candidacy becaue of his position on the war in Iraq, but also (as a result of this morning's interview with Chris Wallace) because his playing the victim card (voting for The Patriot Act and approving to go to war with Iraq because he trusted George W. Bush) shows to me a lack of accountability and leadership. I also believe that by stating what he did in this interview he paralyzed his own ability (and anyone who should become President) to ever make a difficult decision as President of the United States. If we are going to change our minds and lay blame every time that hindsight proves to be insight, we are hopeless to ever make a decision in the first place. Besides, I do not believe that hindsight has proven anything whatsoever to justify the opposition and undermining of this Presidency the war in Iraq.

I'm voting for Obama.

Before voting for him, I'll be campaigning door-to-door for him.

I chose Barr simply because when one of the others wins, and they screw it up worse than it already is, I want to be abe to say I didn't vote for THAT guy but I still voted.

heh heh - I had to smile at the obviously skewed poll statistics that happen when polls are given in specific areas.

I see that 1/3 of the voters here are voting Libertarian. Now, seriously, do we think that the Libertarians are going to get 1/3 of the national popular vote? Don't they usually get like 2%?

I think it might indicate the truth better than you think. One thing is this pole is now. Minds can be changed by the time the general rolls around. Plus a lot of people would like to vote third party, but in the end decide it will be a wasted vote and cast a vote against the guy they don't want rather than vote for someone. If every one had voted for Perot who liked him the first time he ran, he might have actually had a chance.

Less savings means less investments; an economy that does not save or invest will consume all of its resources and eventually end up bankrupt.-David Saied

Exactly..far too many Americans fear "wasting" their vote on a third party candidate when the only wasted vote is the one never cast. I regularly vote for candidates knowing full well they have no chance of winning.I look at the candidates and then vote my conscience.

I think a lot of people are going to stay home this election day on the Republican side. Conservatives are not happy with the choices, and not voting would be "voting their conscience".

I hope I'm wrong.

Several of my long time R friends have said they are staying home. I suspect a few will change their minds and vote for Barr or McCain but they are not at all happy with the selection.
