I'd be r-e-a-l pissed. sheesh... i... well let me put it this way.

Is fragging better for "units cohesion"?
Golly gee willikers, I don't know. Ask your fellow Representative or Senator what he thinks of your method of keeping a civilian unit cohered?

I think that we need an objective 3rd party to review military justice cases. This 3rd party shouldn't be reviewing the cases themselves, but rather how they are handled. There is no doubt that there are times when the military does protect it's own and in those cases there needs to be a measure of oversight. If a series of similar accusation come to light that are handled by the same people, directed towards the same people and the results are FAR from satisfactory (with STRONG emphasis on the UCMJ), then this party should have the authority to bring the "decision-makers" to justice. Yes, we need someone watching the watchmen.

WTF are you going on about? The military cannot deal with this. We have already seen that they can't. Just saying they can is just stupid. Because we recognize that does not mean anyone is anti military. I ain't going to ask the militarty to do lots of things they are not built for. Brain surgery, rebuilding countries and establishing democracies. Ya know, stuff like that. [quote=Manitou;620629]

The Constitution is in the Oath of enlistment. The commander-in-chief is the civilian the military takes its orders from, not from a mosaic of hundreds of American faces. Every Fighting Man had best know every swinging face in his chain of command up to his commander-in-chief. If I were still in the Armed Forces, I would not have to know you from Adam.
