Don't forget many people have already voted.
Yet from the news I saw yesterday a lot of our combat troops could not even get their forms on time.

And as I understand it many of their reps are contesting this. How it will work out is anyones guess.

But these troopers are risking their lifes and should have their votes count.

I know when I was in the Nam one of the worst days was when we were informed our vote was cast for Nixon, we didn't do a thing but get upset. As like me, most of our guys, this was my first time to vote and the Army did it for us.

Just find any in country Nam Vet during the 67 elections race and ask him. And we have come a very long way sense.

So why aren't some of our troops not getting their forms to vote on time?

Just off hand I'd say it was Republicans again

It is the Republicans that want answer to this. I am thinking that many in these combat areas might like the commander in chief but the reason (now) they are there is why they might vote :R".

I know I would when not one of means is beside them, unlike the Prince (both from what I have read) of England. I know one was in combat for a short time the other his younger brother I just saw a headline about it.

What is it you're blaming them for again?

with all the dishonesty taking down congresspeople and organizations, I wouldn't put it past them to make sure some forms were "delayed" and altered and then go on tv saying it's the democrats. Look if they did that during Vietnam they've only had time to get better at the game. They can also count on the fact that after 2000 Baker made sure even the late post marked military votes were counted. And that year that was not the rules. They had plenty of time to send those out early. so during a protracted war, they would certainly get a judge to certify these "delayed" ballots be counted.
just my opinion formed from your post and my own observations in close elections.
In a clear race it is harder but this close all these little voter frauds add up. Who has better ground people will decide this election imho.

Don't forget many people have already voted.
Here we go again... Is there a physiological condition that you have that prevents you from learning anything new that runs counter to your prejudices?

In any election the election officials stop counting votes when there is no longer a statistical possibility that the reaming votes will effect the outcome of the election. The votes that get skipped in the counting are heavily those that are late absenteee ballots. A huge percentage of these ballots are military votes, which came in at about 2:1 in favor of Pres. Bush. The numbers are about 3,000,000 uncounted votes, which equates to a 1,000,000 vote net advantage to Pres. Bush. This means that if ALL the votes had been counted, Pres. Bush would have won both the EC and the popular vote. No, I don't have a link, just a conversation with my wife's cousin who knows more about this stuff than most of us EVER will, since he's the guy who got Vote By Mail implemented here in Oregon and is currently working as an advisor to places where they are working on implementing VBM.

Voting forms, so they can vote in the upcoming election. Some in areas where they do combat patrols either haven't gotten them or they are on patrol and won't have them filled out and sent in time.

You will have to wait on salty for this answer as I am not blaming anyone, yet.
