Given that - do you HONESTLY think she's going to give you her real age?

~ She's only 9,000 years old

A good friend of mine who is one of the most highly regarded geologists in the Western half of the US has a very good take on the age of the Earth. He's a Bible believing Christian and a geologist and when the two don't seem to line up, his take is this:
"Science is the search for pure truth and the Bible is pure truth. When I can't see the two lining up, the problem isn't with the science or the Bible, it's with me. When you're caught between two seemingly conflicting absolute truths, the only reasonable explanation is that you don't fully understand one or both of them."
