Violation of the social contract should carry some from of lifetime penalty. Losing voting rights, IMO, is a pretty good way to apply that penalty. It doesn't expose a person to any undue risk of harm, it simply tells them that they no longer have a voice in the process. I also think that they should lose any tax deductions for political contributions.

I voted no, here's why:
Most felonies involve one person violating the rights of another. When someone does that they give up any rights they had and society gets to decide which ones they get back. I for one don't want convicted felons voting people into office that will be weaker on crime. Others the shouldn't get back: - Right to keep and bear arms. - Privacy rights, no search would be unlawful when conducted on a felon. |

Well I was considering they were in jil/prison during the voting period. And as in the days of yoooor, I voted
.Once placed in a jail/prison most rights are lost. Yet once released and they meet whatever is the conditions all rights should be restored.

Felons, once released from prison, should be allowed to vote in virtually every case with the possible exception of voter fraud.
