When the owners of the ambulance I worked for wanted us to lie on our trip sheets so that medicare and medicaid would pay the bills, I refused and quit. I'd like to think I'd do the same in this situation.

I would not do it. Not because it's a crime, but because it's wrong. Having pot may be a crime, but it's not wrong. Now, I might be willing to do it if the dude was some murderer or something. But perjure for some dude committing a crime that is a stupid dumbass crime anyway? No way.

If you know he is doing it catch him doing it. There are two types of cops. Barney's and Andy's. Barney is by the book to a ridiculous extent. By the book. Andy is about the community. Does he bust everyone for every infraction? No. But he will bust those who commit crimes that seriously effect the community. WWAD?

Well, you know someone raped and murdered a woman. You do not have a warrant, he is still a person of interest, but you know 100% in your heart he did it. How far would YOU be willing to go? Plant evidence to make the case run smoother? Violate the fourth amendment and face a burglary and violation of oath charge by breaking into his house and searching around?
