That's the difference between Obamacare and RomneyCare...

I think they both suck, but RomneyCare is constitutional...
Ok....., I stand corrected.

If it does fail, Romney Care would also be doomed because the frame work is basically the same as what Obama's lobbyists want.......
I thanked your last post as I read through first and agree with you and redd a state can do any *ssinine thing they want. This can't reach the fed level, there is no way the court can let that fly and still consider this a free country. I personally think kids covered until 26 is unconstitutional, if you can't force anyone to buy how can you force another to provide?

It's a slippery slope indeed......

Knowing most folks have wanted a better HC plan for decades only makes me angrier that this is the crap that finally got built......

Just a terrible plan and a pathetic effort from our elected officials imo.......

Try to cheer up. I didn't like this plan either. I thought there should be a public option. But the fact is that no matter what the SC does it will force facing the issue more seriously than ever. Lets say the SC shoots it down. You have a bunch of republicans fighting to kill Obamacare. When people start losing the gains that Obamacare has made they will be revolting against the right. Obama will lose points inside the beltway but when people start getting dropped from their insurance who are they going to be pissed off at? Obama? Not likely

Thomas has not been a stellar SCJ in my opinion but, that's another topic for another day.......
One thing is clear.... she never felt harassed by it.... until later when he was nominated to the USSC. In fact years after the so called harassment and before the nomination she asked to pick up Thomas at the airport and asked to be placed next to him at a dinner in his honor at the University of Tulsa Law School.

If the Commerce Clause allows the Federal Government to force people to pay for commerce they choose not to have for simply existing, then you need to show us examples of those Commerce Clause limits. If you cannot show us, then your decision to allow Obamacare to continue is telling the country that the Commerce Clause has NO limits and the Federal Government is free to force the public to do anything at their discretion.

Anyone that believes the Supreme Court will rule Obamacare is constitutional has not been paying attention.

Of course this will be shot down. I will be floored if they rule in favor of it. It will be like Marisa Tomei winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress all over again.
