I suppose it could go either way but believing in a "higher power" or believing in something greater than thyself, in my opinion,would enhance the acceptance of extraterrestrial life.

Jesus died for the sins of Humans. Not all "sentient" beings throughout the universe.

On that point , the The Bible teaches that ALL of creation is now in a less than perfect state. And the cause of it is God's changing the terms of the universe based mans poor actions. C.S. Lewis played with this idea in his SciFi work. Where the Aliens were not laden with human selfishness and evil. but were waiting for the final restoration on their own planets living in near Edenic alien societies.





Buut... There's a lot of assumptions that go along with the Aliens mythologies. Interesting that many people are open to the stories of aliens, Often Even including a big multi-government cover up, with little or no proof in the scientific sense that they demand from Christianity. For aliens There are mainly stories by eye witnesses to what they say are aliens and ships. While in Christianity we have eye wittiness to the fact that Jesus rose from the dead and did miracles. And Accounts of miracles throughout history to current times attributed to Jesus AND near death and death experiences of heaven and Hell. Not to mention several other historically powerful reasons to logically consider the reality God the creator.

I watch that show it is a very god show though. I may watch it and find it interesting anything can be possible. I like to keep an open mind on somethings though I do believe in God it is a boundary most CHristains would hold against me. Nothing is to say that God did not create another race of people. In all reality he did it is in the beginning of the bible. Right before the deluge the race of Giants that is spoken about which were ANgels if I am not mistaken that mated with Humans.
A good person to read about this subject is Zecharia Sitchin he has a series of six books Called the Earth Chonicle series and it is very interesting what he professes.
