I have a very good dentist right now, probably among the best I ever had. He is so very caring of patients and his staff. He is close to retirement, though, I think.

He is so good that even discovered I had some sinus problems in 2002, something a dentist I saw before didn't catch when I complained about pain in my mouth.

I only wish I had dental insurance to cover a gold crown job, but he understands that I cannot have it done now. I feel pretty bad that I can't, because I like him a lot.

Most of the dentists on the local HMO plan appeared to be of the Asian kind.

That's the way it seems...

My dentist...who had his office in a reformed basement for 30 years...just moved into a business building with 2 Asians so they can share costs and patients...

How many dentist have I had? 5

1. A child dentist, who is also a neighbor in a cul-de-sac. Saw him only once
2. My parent's dentist, whom I saw for about 30 years
3. The quack dentist - for a year, 4 visits. I went back to dentist #2
4. The dentist that took over dentist #2 when #2 retired.
5. Am seeing this one now, when I quit dentist #4. He is the same one who discovered my sinus problems from x-rays.

.................... and, waiting in the wing is my dentist's dentist, who will take over the practice when my dentist retires. My dentist's dentist takes care of my dentist. After all, how can a dentist fix his own cavity with a filling or a crown?

I had my dentist appointment yesterday. Thirty-one and still no cavities to date. And umm...that zoom whitening treatment. Yeah, about that....it takes one hour and I swear it shaves 3-5 years off your appearance. I look like a 25 year old again. Plus its fun blinding everyone with your smile.
