Default Nostradamus : seeing the future?

Do you believe Nostradumus was able to see the future?...

Or was it all a twisted interpretation of what he was actually writing?...

Or may a little bit of both?...

Quote:
Michel de Nostredame (December 14, 1503 – July 2, 1566), usually Latinized to Nostradamus, was a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous world-wide. He is best known for his book Les Propheties, the first edition of which appeared in 1555.

Since the publication of this book, which has rarely been out of print since his death, Nostradamus has attracted an enthusiastic following who, along with the popular press, credit him with predicting many major world events.

In contrast, most academic sources (see below) maintain that the associations made between world events and Nostradamus's quatrains are largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (sometimes deliberate) or else are so tenuous as to render them useless as evidence of any genuine predictive power. Moreover, none of the sources listed offers any evidence that anyone has ever interpreted any of Nostradamus's quatrains specifically enough to allow a clear identification of any event in advance.

Nevertheless, interest in the work of this prominent figure of the French Renaissance is still considerable, especially in the media and in popular culture, and the prophecies have in some cases been assimilated to the results of applying the alleged Bible Code, as well as to other purported prophetic works.

I don't know what to think about him. Let me ask my Oweji Board. The board says nah! I think Dick Cheney was better a predictions. This is good. Don't mean to be political but its fun.

Because he dealt in images is it possible that he was seeing video signals transmitted through time back to his time?

My own private nutcase theory.

Nostradamus used the Holy Bible and other books cross referenced to figure out general themes. He was very lucky and probably saw or read a pattern. the ancient Mayans also detected patterns that repeated every so often. ie floods famine
other catastrophes.
Also if he had any knowledge of the heavenly bodies and their influence on the tides/human activities, etcetera, he could have worked up a pretty good set of predictions.

You guys are watching too much discovery channel.

If he could see in to the future he would have known nobody would be able to make any sense of his drivel. Maybe he would have been a little clearer.

I don't believe Nostradamus or anyone who is able to foresee the future. We are responsible to our life. No one is to blame for it.
