For him to go from the Illinois State legislature to a run for President in two years takes more than just talent and certainly more than his paper-thin resume with no executive experience and only a smattering of accomplishments to show but a long list of "present" votes when called upon to make decisions. There is a hunger to resolve the racial guilt felt by Whites in this country and Obama has ridden on that hunger. His campaign has risen on White America's efforts to satisfy that hunger. And he is so adept at manipulating that hunger that he has come very far in a very short period of time. But the phenomenon is less about Obama and more about White Guilt. White America is seeking racial transcendence by voting for him. Most people don't know what his policies are. Most don't even know he's a leftist/Socialist. They just want him to wash their racial guilt away. But if his candidacy is based on racial transcendence and he is telling us he will not run a campaign based on race, that he (and America) is above discussing issues of race, (2:45 in the video, by the way) then that means his candidacy is 100% about race. Palin's daughter intends to marry the father of the child and they will not add that child to the welfare rolls. I think you miss the point. Growing up in Indonesia and Hawaii is what makes him "exotic." Having two Muslim fathers and claiming not to have taken their faith or having been raised, at any time, as a Muslim and having numerous secret associations with Muslims that he will not discuss now makes him an object of suspicion. No one says Biden isn't fully vetted. You are just being silly for the sake of trying to draw inaccurate comparisons to Palin's choice. And armies of Obama's dirt squad are in Alaska as we speak digging for dirt on Sarah Palin. But when it comes to answering questions about Obama, where is the same level of scrutiny? Why won't Obama come clean on the matter of Ayers, Rezko & Auchi? And those are just for starters! None of Obama's experience is executive. As a Mayor and Governor Palin had to make more decisions in the average week than he's made in his entire career. And she also went nose-to-nose with the big oil companies and she made them submit to her position while negotiating a $30 BILLION natural gas pipline that is crucial to our country's national defense status. And let's keep in mind that she is the GOP VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE! Yet, she has more executive experience than Senators Obama AND Biden. And speaking of Senators, Biden and Obama and McCain each represents only 1% of the Senate vote. But they do have to read about national and foreign affairs issues. They seldom cast deciding votes. A Governor can't hide behind 99 others. She or he must make tough decisions and if the wrong decision is made EVERYONE knows about it. Even in a state with a population of "only" 683,478 (2007 est.). Only a small portion of your brain is in your genital region, Tristanrobin, but how insignificant would you say it was if you didn't use that part of your brain sensibly? And can the Biden/Obama team or supporters really look down their noses at the size of Alaska's population when 6% of our nation's oil supplies are provided by the 49th state? HowStuffWorks "What if the Alaskan Pipeline blew up?" Compare that to Biden's Delaware (with a population of 864,764 [2007 est.]) which is known as a corporate haven due to its business-friendly corporation law. Franchise taxes on Delaware corporations supply about one-fifth of its state revenue. More to come.

And what is the difference between his popularity and Palin's? Until America decided it would consider someone as young and inexperienced as Obama for the highest office in the land, the GOP would never have chosen someone like Palin. HOWEVER... Because America in it's infinite wisdom made clear that WE DO consider such inexperience as Obama's to be suitable for consideration the GOP decided that if you can't beat em, join em! So, Palin has less experience than Conservatives normally would have liked, you liberals pushed us to keep up with your progressive thinking and the GOP responded. So, if you value Obama's inexperience then we have someone you should feel comfortable with. Sarah Palin: ALMOST as inexperienced as Obama! (Good thing she's "only" running for the #2 spot! Obama's thinking for himself is not presumptuousness. His taking his campaign to friggin Germany as though he had already been elected, now THAT is presumptuousness! John McCain IS a maverick. The original maverick. And he has training and proven ability to make quick decisions. The right decisions. Things move pretty fast at 5,000 feet and 500 knots. It's almost like when driving the lane on a basketball court and trying to decide whether to go for a lay up or pass it off. Almost like that. But faster and with greater consequences. You aren't a hero because your Dad and Grandfather went to Annapolis and attained high rank in the Navy. You are a hero for volunteering to put yourself in harm's way to serve your country and in doing so you were injured and wounded and close to death but you still resisted the enemy and inspired your fellow POW's and when given a chance to relieve your own suffering you adhered to a principle which was guaranteed not to serve your own personal interests. THAT makes you a hero. Managing a multi-million dollar nationwide campaign is something BOTH candidates are doing. In fact Obama has had a great deal more funding to work with than McCain. And using LESS MONEY and with FEWER CAMPAIGN STAFF PEOPLE, McCain has passed Obama in the polls. Is that what the country should expect from Obama? Increased taxes and disappointing results? There are any number of Churches that Obama could have chosen to attend on the South side of Chicago. He just happened to choose a racist one which has an agenda which is so hostile to America and to Whites, I doubt that Obama would have taken his own Mother there and felt comfortable. Yet he attended the church for twenty years. A church led by Rev, Wright, a former Muslim... which praised Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan. While it is admirable that Obama has been faithful (as far as we know) you progressive wouldn't care if he had been a cheater. At least that's what you said when Bill Clinton forced you into lowering your moral/ethical bar. What would be nice is if we could know that in spite of all of Obama's many dalliances with those who ARE NOT married to the idea or ideals of the UNITED STATES and who have no love for this country and feel no allegiance to it (Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Auchi and even his own wife, just to name a few) that Obama was even HALF as committed to this country as John McCain, who FELL IN LOVE WITH AMERICA. If a single black mother became a state Governor and was in regular communication with her baby doctor and made a decision based on knowledge and the advice of a professional concerning the labor and delivery of her child, no one would say anything. So why are you questioning Palin's choices? Reverse discrimination? Maybe you should go and self-flagellate until your White Guilt is erased. NO ONE should be excused for maligning a child. And no one in a responsible position maligned Chelsea. And anyone who did should be subjected to the harshest condemnation possible. You can't be saying that you believe that behavior was condoned by any responsible people on the right. That is disgustingly wrong. The endangered species being what? Wolves? They aren't endangered in Alaska. They are a threat to moose and caribou herds. Quote:
Larry Craig's and John Edwards' actions are symptoms of the swamp that John McCain hopes to drain once he is in the White House. Jesus Christ was the Messiah. Not a Governor. Barack Obama is less experienced than a Governor but parades around like he's the Messiah. There. Satisfied?
