My reasoning is that I don't find a lower "reporting on Chelsea" as significant until YOU SHOW WHAT they supposedly should have reported on, but didn't.
YOU claim the difference is "Republican / Democrat".
I see the difference as "something newsworthy / not much news action".

If you can show me something Chelsea ACTUALLY DID that is comparable with Bush's daughters, then you have an argument.
Otherwise, you're just whining and trying to apply misdirection to avoid the truth that Bush's daughters DO get into things people are interested in, while Chelsea is relatively "boring" news-wise...

Well, you know that Shawn Merriman will play this season while hurt.

This from the guy that just posted a picture of one of the Bush girls at a college party ... because that SO newsworthy! Yeah, I'm sure Chelsea never went to college parties. Dems don't party while in college. Nope, not at all.

For what it's worth, this bit of tid mysteriously got no coverage in the US. Of course, there's still the horse face factor going on.

But hey, we should be used to the double standards regarding ethics and family reporting between Dems and Reps. If there weren't one, we wouldn't have Kennedys or Clintons still in politics.

Chelsea doesn't have any photos of her doing anything "unusual" simply for the fact that NO ONE FOLLOWED HER AROUND to get anything if she did!...

The media was more than happy to salute, yell "Yavol Cap-i-tan Clinton!" and put their cameras away to gain dust until someone with an "R" behind their name dropped by with teenagers...

Chelsea could've been the most innocent darling or she could've spent her weekends pretending she was on "Girls Gone Wild"...maybe she had sex 50 times more than Bristol ever did and dodged the sperm bullet...

We'll simply never know...(and that's the way it should be for ALL)...

Newsworthy as in "CNN coverage"? No.
I got that picture from somebody's blog to prove a point.

You still have failed to show WHAT STORY Chelsea should have been covered on...
All you could do was pull up something that happened AFTER BILL WAS OUT OF OFFICE.

It's not a "double standard".
It's a CONSISTENT standard.

George's daughters behave badly WHILE HE IS IN OFFICE, and they get covered.
Bill's daughter doesn't do anything newsworthy, and <gasp!> she doesn't get covered.


That's a rather convenient excuse, based on a convenient presumption.
It doesn't even have to be a reporter. Some friend can snap the picture, and it can find its way to the internet.

Like I said. Show me Chelsea doing something NEWSWORTHY, and then you've got a case.
An article about an EX-president's daughter should be obviously down-graded.

Since you've found a convenient (albeit lame) excuse regarding Chelsea so you can ignore the INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY idea, how about we shift gears?
Can you show me a "Bush Daughter Scandal" that you think shouldn't have gotten NEWS media attention?

So it's a good thing they didn't take after their pinched faced mom I guess.
Although I always thought Chelsea inherited the worst traits of both parents and the burden of gramma's enormous jugs, I admit I never knew the Bush girls did anything newsworthy except talk at a political function. Guess I have to get out more.
