I can't stand Palin's stands on the various social issues she's spoken about.
But, I think her daughter getting pregnant is irrelevant to her candidacy. I wouldn't vote for Palin on a bet - but I hope that people don't attack her on this issue so much that I have to start defending her. It's a non-story IMO>

I was 18 when my son was born. Barely. And she was 17. So I wouldn't dream of judging her. I do have questions about McCains judgment. He must have realized the press would make an issue of it given her stances on issues. And now she is under the spotlight. I doubt that anyone on this site would judge this kid. But this again shows McCain's bad choices. And that he doesn't think about the consequences to others as long as he wins.

![]() That said..I've also questioned Obama's judgment on more than one occasion! I was also 18 when my son was born and my wife was 17. We had dated for three years and now we've been married for 39 years. Her daughter is not the issue but the vetting process may need some improvement.Could there be more damaging info about Sarah? Time will tell.... ![]()

The question is "Will the negatives of one candidate outweigh the negatives of another?"... If he picked Huck, the "vetting process" would be questioned because many will attack the evangelical aspect... If he picked Mitt, the "vetting process" would be questioned because many will attack the Mormon aspect... If he picked Pawlenty, the "vetting process" would be questioned because many will attack his lack of national recognition (Much like Palin now)... If he picked Leiberman, the "vetting process" would be questioned because...well you know all sides would have a field day with that one... AND of course, if McCain picked ANY one of them, the Left would grab the bullhorns and cry "RICH-WHITE-GUY-ESTABLISHMENT-OLD-BOY'S-NETWORK-SAME-OLD-SAME-OLD!!!!"... ![]() So I contend that you would "question the vetting process" NOMATTER WHO was picked... Here's your chance to prove me wrong...name a candidate that McCain could've picked that wouldn't be attacked on any issue...thus proving the "vetting process" was successful and correct...
