Default McCain interjects race

McCain says he was responding to Obama interjecting race yesterday. But Obama never mentioned his race yesterday. There he goes with the lies again. In fact he couldn't even keep a straight face when he claimed it. A POTUS that uses sleezy tactics. Nah.

If McCain can't win on the strength of his arguments he doesn't deserve the job.

McCain accuses Obama of playing politics with race

Quote:
John McCain accused Barack Obama of playing politics with race on Thursday, raising the explosive issue after the first black candidate with a serious chance of winning the White House claimed Republicans will try to scare voters by saying he " doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

"What they're going to try to do is make you scared of me," Obama said. "You know, he's not patriotic enough, he's got a funny name, you know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

He didn't explain the comment. But it evoked images of past presidents who grace U.S. paper money, such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Jackson and Ulysses S. Grant. All were white men, and all but Grant were older than Obama when elected.

Obama long has talked about his physical appearance in speeches, but McCain advisers argue he crossed a significant line by accusing the GOP of scare tactics and alluding to his own race in the same breath.
If you ask me, I'm thinking he was SPECIFICALLY referring to race and not the fact that Grant had a beard...

Barack is using the "Bonifa Jackson" defense...

Quote:
Bunifa Latifah Halifah Sharifa Jackson (Debra Wilson) is a meter maid who makes extensive use of ebonics when speaking, and quickly accuses other characters' most basic assertions as being motivated by racism. Her character often rapidly shifts her mood at mild stimuli for comedic effect, aggressively arguing with characters one moment, then talking amicably with them seconds afterwards. She is often seen gabbing on her cellphone with her unseen best friend Sonya (who was once voiced offscreen by Aries Spears). She often flirts with male characters, regardless of race.

Her catchphrases include "I saaaaaaaaaaaid...", "What'd I do?" and "Why do I have to [perform an action]? Because I'm BLACK?!" An early form of this character appeared in season one, but she was a doctor and more articulate.

You could have 75 LEGITIMATE REASONS for not voting for him, but he'll still blame it on the way he looks...

In his eyes, if he wins, it's because the American citizen agrees with him...If he loses, it's NOT because the American citizen DISagrees with him, but because he's black...

See how that works?..."Vote for Obama or you're a racist."...

Point is he didn't mention race. He could have been talking about his ears. It was McCains camp that said it was about race. And I don't even care if it was. I have had people say to me the won't vote for him because he is blak. And I will bet you all know someone who feels the same.

Looks like someone needs a lesson in allegorical speech.

Yeah...It was all about the ears...

Obama Aide Concedes 'Dollar Bill' Remark Referred to His Race

Quote:
Sen. Barack Obama's chief strategist conceded that the Democratic presidential candidate was referring to his race when he said Republicans were trying to scare voters by suggesting Obama "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

The comment had triggered a charge Thursday from Sen. John McCain's campaign manager that Obama had "played the race card... from the bottom of the deck."

Obama's camp initially denied the remark was a reference to Obama's race.

"He was referring to the fact that he didn't come into the race with the history of others," Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday. "It is not about race."

But Obama's chief strategist, David Axelrod, acknowledged on "Good Morning America" Friday that the candidate was referring, at least in part, to his ethnic background.

When pressed to explain the comment, Axelrod told "GMA" it meant, "He's not from central casting when it comes to candidates for president of the United States. He's new to Washington. Yes, he's African-American."
Nice little 180 there in a 24 hour period to admit the obvious...

People have said "I won't vote for him because he is Black" So even if McCain didn't say it. It is being said. But the comments that McCain attacked didn't mention race. Obama has said because he is black in the past. But McCain was talking about his more recent remarks. But I'll tell yo what. I will concede the point. So now what.
