Correct...the Dems are playing 6,987,365 degrees of Kevin Bacon...

They are usuing the logic that Colburn is delivering babies for free so he can garner votes...

Maybe they'll never understand that someone might want to deliver babies for free because they feel it's a quality thing to do...

Bingo!! Struck a nerve!
Yeah, you know I like the idea of a mid wife and no men at all in a delivery room, but I was lucky my last child was delivered by a doctor of medicine and to tell you the truth by a male one. He kept me focused and wouldn't listen to any bull crap from me (especially since I was under the influence of heavy meds). My baby was turned wrong and it took someone with years of baby delivering experience to get her out (alive) as by the time I got there it was too late for a C-Section.
Catcher's mitt my !@#$%$#@!

Didn't read through the article, eh?...

Quote:
Other physicians in the Senate, such as former Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), a heart surgeon, voluntarily gave up their medical practices when they joined the Senate.

Coburn, however, wants to remain a true citizen-legislator and has long argued that the Senate should allow him to keep serving his patients because he plans to return to the practice when he leaves the Senate in 2016, consistent with his pledge to serve only two terms. He would like to keep up his medical skills if he is going to continue being able to earn a living in his chosen profession.

Frist, by contrast, had no plans to return to his practice when he retired from the Senate.
So you want this guy to deliver babies...then take a 16 YEAR HIATUS of NOT delivering babies...and then start up again as if it was the next day...
