Yup..those names come to mind,it was a bone head idea and the chickens have come home to roost.They had better solve this problem and soon!!! They did not trust their own party members to make the right decision. The Superdelegates are also sort of an award system for loyal party members.
The Republicans have their own version of superdelegates, though far fewer. In most states, the party chairman and two RNC members are
automatic delegates and can vote for any candidate they choose at the GOP national convention this summer.
Those delegates, however, will not decide the Republican nomination because Sen. John McCain wrapped up the GOP nod March 4.
