Someone (I think Spencer?) recommended giving it a couple of weeks for people to submit reading suggestions, putting up the poll, and getting copies for those wanting to participate.

Also, IP is the one that will set up the poll from what I understand. Although the forum has only been up a few days, like you, I'm sure there's many of us biting at the chomp so to speak, wanting to get started.

All I need right now, is for the poll to go up, cause my plan is to buy the first 3 that are the most popular so I can buy them and have them handy for future discussions. LOL!

Golly am I ever a late bloomer! I just now discovered this thread. I'm in a real literary slump right now and this just might be what it takes to get me out of it. Personally when it comes to politics and issues reading I'm a fan of Jon Stewart's Daily Show book--which I am halfway through (and have had for a couple of years now). It's hilarious. And I understand Stephen Colbert has one out now too. Admittedly it takes a person with a hefty dose of irreverence to enjoy this type of satire and it probably won't appeal to those on the right of the aisle so to speak, but when I read I like to laugh. I'm open to all suggestions though.
