OFFICIAL NOTIFICATION TO ALL:

Count me out of the decision making process in this matter.

I will take part in the club or not as I feel inclined or not as time goes by.

Good luck and enjoy the process.

If that is your choice, then so be it. There is no mandatory participation in deciding the book to be read.

The only request that I will throw out is if you are going to participate in the book club please do read whatever the selection is before venturing an opinion. Given that, your opinions will most certainly be as welcome as anyone else's who reads the selection and participates in the discussion.

I'll second those sentiments.

I think we could all benefit by reading..Anger Management For Dummies! Anger can be a good thing when properly channeled but it can also destroy us along with our argument. I was once sentenced to anger management classes,I'm passive aggresive, bump my cart at the grocery store,no problem, bump me twice,no problem..bump my cart a third time and you will be "wearing" that cart..

Anger is a healthy emotion. Like all else, it must be in balance.

Geezes, some people.

By the way, what was the movie's title? I might have to look that up as well although I'd rather read the book first then see the movie.
I saw the coming attractions for it this past weekend.

It's the same title as as the book.

Some of my personal favorites

Dune, by Frank Herbert. Still, one of my all time faves.

Stranger in a Strange Land, Robert Heinlein.

A Spell for Chameleon, Piers Anthony. Not a lot of depth here, but good, solid fun if you like puns.

Swan Song, by Robert McCammon

Wolf's Hour, Robert McCammon

And, can't forget, my two favorites by Steven King, The Shining and The Stand.

I like science fiction and horror, can you tell?

I LOVE the Xanth novels!

Did you read any of his INCARNATIONS OF IMMORTALIY series?

No.

I read about 10 Xanth novels, then it seemed like he was trying too hard.

But Spell for Chameleon was by far the best. So incredibly clever!!!

Ogre-fen-Ogre Swap. How funny is that?
