I got stung by a bee on a river trip once and ended up falling out of the back of my raft due to nearly passing out. So, I think that's where my panic comes from. I'm never sure if the next sting will be the one that kills me. LOL I have carpenter bees on my deck. The only reason I can tolerate them (barely) is because the males do not sting and I never see the females.
