You are wrong. I know that Matthews was stoked that Obama was elected. But I think it has far less to do with current partisanship and more to do with the fact that Matthews is stuck in the 60's. And he sees a JFK type in Obama. So he is a fan. But not to the exclusion of anything else. He has disagreed with Obama on air. And he will again I'm sure. And Matthews treats the guys on the right fairly. Unless they just start talking point crap. That pisses him off. It pisses me off. When Matthews rolls his eyes about the right freaking out over Obama thinking a Supreme court judge should be empathetic. And I know how he feels. Like what a bunch of morons. And then they all repeated it. "Oh my god she has empathy" The decline of western civilization can't be far behind.

I was talking about actual Republicans who have rushed to defend Rush...
... as opposed to other threads with Olbermann, where there is a lack of defense of his actions. I don't even see a "well, look at what somebody else is saying..." type response.

There is a difference that doesn't revolve around assuming all Republicans are Limbaugh fans.
In fact, I'll go a step further and state that there is a significant segment who are NOT Limbaugh fans.
I would think a large portion of that group would be stamped as "RINO" by Rush...


I don't know if I would call that "brilliance".
Howard Stern has the same type of notoriety between his fans and detractors...

But on another level, I can't help but chuckle at the realization that sometimes, BOTH the right and the left use the same sound byte for their different goals...
