I really don't care. I do think it is anti Obama because it never happened for 8 long years. But it happens within 3 months of the Democrat coming in to office. And it was promoted by FOX. And financed by Richard Mellon Scaife. And you don't see anyone being bull****ted

YES IT DID...

Last year in my hometown the same guy who organized the one this year did it last year as well.

These are not new.
They've been going on for a few years now.
Again, they didn't have the same support when the stock market was at an all time high & 95% of Americans were working.
And, our 401Ks hadn't been diminished yet.
That's not to say it's all Obama's fault --- it's not.
And, no one has even implied that except those who are against the tea parties & obviously didn't go to one.

The right is recently fed up with government ever since they lost. It just came clear to them after they awoke from the Bush self delusion.

The size & scope of the government mostly in terms of spending; especially on things not related to the military or basic infrastructure such as the interstate system.
The federal income tax rate as well.
They either want it done away with or a flat tax.
Most of the folks I talked with at one event don't mind paying local taxes but take issue with the federal income tax because they believe it gets misused.

That's the basics from someone who actually went to a tea party & talked with other folks at one.
Of course because there was an event some folks took the opportunity to bring up a variety of other issues not related to taxes or spending.

By the way --- the guy who organized the one I went to also organized one last year as well (while Bush was still in office).

Thanks for the open mind salty. A lot of what I saw was about many different things that have gone wrong over the years. Not as some here paint it.
In plain English it was a chance for people to vent. On the political side a lot was.......
Not many who voted for Obama wanted the bailouts to continue, while un-employment, foreclosures
etc., was still going on.
But it was about many other things to.
