Gospel!...

How Much I Support Our President

Quote:
America wanted change and we got it. Apparently the first thing that changed is that dissent is no longer the highest form of patriotism. Rush Limbaugh found that out when he was accused of wanting the President to fail. How dare he not support our President! According to Jon Stewart what Rush said was almost treasonous.

As someone who did not vote for President Obama, I don’t want to be lumped in with the haters, so here is a list of examples showing just how much I support our President:

I support him as much as Code Pink supports our troops.

I support him as much as N.O.W. supports Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

I support him as much as the Hollywood community supported Theo Van Gogh.

I support him as much as Nancy Pelosi supports the Catholic Church’s teachings on life.

I support him as much as Al Gore supports cutting down on his personal carbon footprint to save the world.

I support him as much as John Edwards supports The National Enquirer’s right to publish pictures of his girlfriend and baby.

I support him as much as Western gay rights groups support Mehdi Kazemi.

I support him as much as the Castro brothers support Oscar Biscet’s right to free speech.

I support him as much as Ted Kennedy supports renewable wind energy off the coast of his summer mansion.

I support him as much as Bill Clinton supports Hillary’s ambitions for higher office.

I support him as much as the National Education Association supports the rights of students and parents to get a quality education over the security of a teacher’s job.

I support him just as much as he supports the right of a baby who survives an abortion to not spend its only living moments waiting to die in a storage room.

I hope that clears everything up. Now could someone please tell what time the oceans are going to start receding because I’d really hate to miss that one.

Don't miscontrue...I don't want anything bad happen to the man...

But I also know that with every political success comes a tick down for America...

Now the left side of the aisle may immediately think thats harsh, but that's EXACTLY what we've heard the last 8 years...

Did the left want Bush to fail on the Patriot Act?...

Did they believe his success on the Patriot Act hurt America?...

Did the left want Bush to fail on passing the Authorization of Use of Force in Iraq?...

Did they believe his success on passing the Authorization of Use of Force in Iraq hurt America?...

Did the left want Bush to fail on privitizing a small part of Social security?...

Did they believe if it succeeded it would hurt America (and were they joyful in it's failure)?...

Could I do this with almost every single thing Bush has done?...

That's how I feel about Obama giving tax relief to people who don't pay taxes, his idea of meeting with terrorists and giving them credibility on a national stage, giving captured terrorists more rights, this stupid bill which bloats the government in an unprecedented event on the peoples' dime, and a multitude of his other policies...

I would have taken success and an 'I told you so' over the mess that we're in now. You had your shot to do it your way, it didn't work out. Give it a rest, .

The issue is NOT whether or not one believes who would do better for America...

The issue is THE REACTION from the opposing side...

For 8 years, the left has BEGGED for Bush's failure on every issue...and then went so far as to tell everyone that "Dissent is patriotic"...

But when the political tides have turned, the same people begging for Bush's failure and disssented on every move he made have hypocritically decided that no one is allowed to dissent anymore...

At least we gave Bush a chance to f@#k it up before we started tearing him down. If you were fair-minded, you would at least extend Obama the same courtesy... since the issue 'is NOT whether or not one believes who would do better for America',

Horsecrap!!! Just because we don't have to invent a failure to criticize one, doesn't mean that we're not being fair-minded. Anyone with two connected braincells can figure out that when your income is going down is not the time to secure a massive amount of debt that will only further the decline of your income. So why should we wait until the ship is sinking before we start screaming at the Captain that the ship's about to hit an iceberg??
