The House Select committee made up of hand picked choices by Nancy Pelosi have engaged in a broad jihad against members and associates of the Trump administration. In this form of show trial the witness doesn't even have to make an appearance, the refusal is treated as a conviction. Proof positive of the partisan perversion of the House's investigation authority is the drive to coerce Congressman Jim Jordan to appear in the circus. Jordan's offense is not only being a Trump ally but a one time nominee to the committee rejected by Nancy Pelosi for not being sufficiently devoted to the jihad.

while i haven't done a dive into the details about this "investigation" and these "trials". But it looks like our trusted officials have gone criminally over the lines... again.

I have to mention in passing that if the "insurrection" had been done by Biden Supporters at Trump's congressional transition,
that many on the right would be self righteously justifying EVERY action committed by LEOs and the Prosecution Officials.

and likely assume negative "emotions" about police as the real reason for the complaints.

I understand where you are coming from and mostly agree with you. However, I will point out that most conservatives have condemned the actions of the few that broke into the Capital and proceeded to destroy property. What we are saying is that the punishments have been much greater for anyone associated with this event than have been imposed on those that did similar things in the other riots around the country.

But the point of the thread was that Pelosi and her ilk are holding congressional hearings while excluding any member of the House that has not prejudged those whom they are investigating. It is very similar to the Soviet show trials.
