Default I'm sick and tired of all the virus nonsense

I've gotta rant about this virus madness. I know many are happy to wear masks because it makes them feel safe, but I'm not one of them, and I'm disgusted that the masks and social distancing nonsense are still going on here in Tennessee. We were told that everything would open up last Friday, but the nonsense is continuing at some businesses, and I refuse to go along with it anymore.

My dental office called today to remind me of tomorrow's appointment. I was told I couldn't just walk in like usual, that I'd have to park my car, stay in my car and call them, and then someone would walk out my paperwork to me. I said I wanted to reschedule my appointment for after all the nonsense stops and asked when that would be. She said she didn't know and that they were going week by week. I canceled the appointment and she will call me when regular business activities resume. This is NOT Tennessee reopening and should NOT be what people are touting as "the new normal" since stupidity isn't normal for some of us!

The virus has been hyped all out of proportion for political reasons, there is no reason for healthy people to walk around with masks like so many still are, and no reason not to be able to walk into the dentist's office for my appointment. I will no longer comply with what I see as colossal stupidity and will not frequent any business that insists on it. So there!

Lumara, I've been a nurse for 39 years.
I agree with you 100%.
Enough already.
I'm sick of wearing the masks for 12 damn hours while I'm working, except for pulling it under my chin to eat/drink or talk on the phone.
Governor DeWine and Dr. "Actor" Acton can go pound sand.

Testify!

When is DeWine going to just go ahead and join the Democratic party? He is more in line with them than he ever was with Conservatives. It's time to boot him out of office.

I'm tired of the commercials on it. And a couple updates a day is plenty.

nobody wants to experience a pandemic.
I do hope you all will continue to wear masks to protect others. even asymptomatics can transfer it.

let us just calm down and get through it.

for life

I guess when the governor of Idaho does.

It sounds as if every smart person is being ostracized by today's GOP. kinda reminds one of the old soviet state ridding the party of all the scientists, writers, and critical thinkers...

"NEW Normal" is becoming an accepted phrase across the nation. I for one will not accept a "New Normal." I'm done with the masks. The social distancing,,,; the ban on Church services. March and April I shopped at Menards without a mask. Monday, with such sanctions lifted, they suddenly insisted I wear one to enter.

I walked out. New @ss!!!!

It seems like everyone is scared sh!tless of their neighbors. This ain't Communist China or Nazi Germany. It's America.

Today we went to our favorite restaurant which just re-opened for sit down dining and the owner came at us with a big hug. Not an "air hug, a real close encounter of the best kind. That's the normal I want to see.

Dutiful Americans stayed home and helped the Healthcare system catch up with the crisis and get ready for normal life. We flattened the curve. Enough already!!! The political fear mongering has lasted beyond acceptable patience. Enough!

The time for Americans to live under house arrest is over.

I have not worn a mask, but Gov Northram has now decreed that as of Friday I will be required to wear one while grocery shopping.

We also semi opened the restaurants, but requires that all patrons must wear masks inside or out. How is that going to work?

Northram also had a photo op at the beach with a group of far more than 10, standing far closer than 6 feet apart and none masked up. His excuse? Just an oopsie, inadvertently left it on the seat of his car.

He has also been photographed at his beach house violating his no travel orders. Hypocrites all.

I'm just tired of being told to be afraid of my neighbor spewing droplets of death on my arm. Americans face adversity. We don't hide behind our government.

BTW,,,; how does on eat wearing a mask?

My son was checking on his house in Connecticut ( a very Blue state) last week. Cops pulled him over because he has MO plates on his truck. They demanded to know what he was doing in CT and to search his vehicle.

He told them to take his license and check him out or get a warrant. Five minutes of radio contact with HDQTRS and they handed it back, "have a nice day Sir!"

Folks, we don't have to submit to this heavy handed control crap.

So unless you want your personal freedom lost,,,;DON"T!!!

Be nice, be respectful, but don't be timid about your rights.

Absolute BS...Not ONE of his aides could've mentioned he didn't have his mask?...

Of course, you KNOW why no one mentioned is...Because it was standard operating procedure...Not an "oopsie"...
