Default Did we fix Climate Change?

In 1989 we were told by the best and brightest that if we didn't do something fast, the world would be over as we know it. We were told Oceans would rise 3ft by the year 2000.

My question is this, did we fix it? Or were they full of shlt? It's one or the other.

I think we should be telling AOC and others that we solved the problem 30 years ago, and a Green New Deal is a waste of money.

But, don't you understand? There is never an expiration date on their forecasts. They will just claim that they had the timeline wrong and that things still need to change. No matter how badly they got it wrong before, this time it is different.

Actually I think it's neither of those answers. I think many of them believed it in 1989. They know better now of course but who wants to get off the gravy train when it's rolling fast and loaded.

Yeah, I think they are now moving their forecasts out to 30-40 years from now so they will be retired or dead when we find out they are lying.

Actually, I think it is only going to take about ten years more. We seem to be at, or near, the peak of the warming cycle. The last peak was in 1939, by the way. In about ten years the climate alarmists will be screaming about the coming ice age.

Just like they were in the 70's.

So instead of taxing us to stop global warming, they will give us tax refunds to stop global cooling?

I think they know that, which is why they want to hurry up and fleece the country, so they can say "See, those trillions of dollars cooled the earth"

They don't rely on results; good intentions are all that matters.
