I'm sorry to inform you, but the ACA was passed with support of those that thought they were going to get their insurance paid for by the government. No, Obama and his ilk didn't come out and say it was free, but that was their implication. Low income people and those living on the government dole, and even some in the middle class, were duped into thinking that the ACA would provide them free insurance. To believe otherwise is ignore history.
