Is It Time for Democrats to Fight Dirty?

Associate professor of political science David Faris is unimpressed with Democrats efforts including Resistance thuggery aimed at destroying the Trump Presidency. In a new book he argues that structural changes are needed to make sure Democrats remain in power permanently.

Surprisingly the genesis of Faris's demand for single party rule predates Trump.

Quote:

I think the breaking point for me personally was the Merrick Garland fiasco, which was really an unprecedented abuse of the Constitution’s lack of clarity about what “advise and consent” actually means. And it was the culmination of 20, 25 years of increasingly hardball tactics coming out of the Republican Party. Those tactics started at the fringe and then became mainstream over time. In the early 2000s, they redrew Texas’ congressional districts in the middle of the decade—this kind of stuff. But that obstruction really got out of hand during the Obama administration. It turned the public against the president’s party and it delivered all three branches of government to the GOP.
It wasn't voters rejecting Obama and Hillary's policies, somehow Republican opposition bamboozled the voters against them. ;)

The solution is to make structural changes to "protect" voters from making a mistake like Trump again. The major structural changes summarized by me are.
  • Recognize and seat Congressional delegations from Puerto Rico and DC
  • Break California into 7 states with 2 Senators each
  • Pack the SCOTUS with liberals
  • Rewrite voting laws at the Federal level eliminating voter ID and automatically reinstate felons automatically

These structural changes have to be paired with ruthless procedural warfare by the permanent Democrat rulers to force through the legislation in the public interest. ;)

The blind hatred for Trump has created openings for Leftist radicals like the professor to propose structural changes to turn our Republic into a single party system. ;)

if redistricting was done by citizen committees at random like serving on a jury, it would be fair imho.

The author of this crap doesn't know history...at all...:no

What happened with Garland was the Republicans using a LONG ESTABLISHED Democrat rule...The Republicans just used it against them...:yes

Joe Biden Argued for Delaying Supreme Court Picks in 1992

Quote:

But in a speech on the Senate floor in June 1992, Mr. Biden, then the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said there should be a different standard for a Supreme Court vacancy “that would occur in the full throes of an election year.” The president should follow the example of “a majority of his predecessors” and delay naming a replacement, Mr. Biden said. If he goes forward before then, the Senate should wait to consider the nomination.

“Some will criticize such a decision and say that it was nothing more than an attempt to save a seat on the court in hopes that a Democrat will be permitted to fill it, but that would not be our intention,” Mr. Biden said at the time. “It would be our pragmatic conclusion that once the political season is underway, and it is, action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over.

Delaying the Garland nomination is just a pretext for the author's faux outrage. Elections have consequences when Democrats win but Republicans are obligated to kowtow to the Democrat minority when they are in power. It is claimed Republicans have engaged in hardball tactics against noble Democrats for decades while the Democrats engaged in the raw exercise of political power and parliamentary procedural maneuvers to muscle Obamacare into law while ignoring public opposition to the bill. Give Democrats an unassailable structural advantage so they don't have to engage in such tactics. ;)

Yeah, I heard about that this morning. How vile can these people get? It's a shame what has become of this country over the last 25 years.

“Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere.” - Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)

We need to remove this unacceptable attitude from our public discourse. If this boils over, LA riots will be a block party in comparison. It is the worst HATRED I have ever witnessed. Walk Away may not be enough.

The DNC and the left media will be responsible. Maxine is just a dumb tool.

YouTube has removed the video claiming it violates youtube's nudity and sexuality policy.

Seems odd.
