Default "War on Boys"...

"What ever happened to letting "boys be boys?" Take these two cases: In one, a seven-year-old boy was sent home for nibbling a Pop Tart into a gun. In another, a teacher was so alarmed by a picture drawn by a student (of a sword fight), that the boy's parents were summoned in for a conference. In short, boys in America's schools are routinely punished for being active, competitive, and restless. In other words, boys can no longer be boys. Christina Hoff Sommers, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, explains how we can change this. Donate today to PragerU! http://l.prageru.com/2ylo1Yt"

A lot of it stems from this concept...which is super-retarded...

Quote:
The concept of toxic masculinity is used in psychology and gender studies to refer to certain norms of masculine behavior in North America and Europe that are associated with harm to society and to men themselves. Traditional stereotypes of men as socially dominant, along with related traits such as misogyny and homophobia, can be considered "toxic" due to their promotion of violence, including sexual assault and domestic violence. Other stereotypically masculine traits, such as self-reliance and the stifling of emotions, are correlated with increased psychological problems in men such as depression, increased stress, and substance abuse.

Feminists and manginas need to chew a prune, or stick a bag of them up their butts and STFU about masculinity.

So if boys and men act like men and boys they will end up as depressed, stressed drug users.

Reason #481 why I cannot take feminism seriously.

And if women continue to act like feminists, the number of women will decrease in the planet.

So I guess she is saying that men will be happier if they are NOT self reliant, and they cry a lot?

If I was not self reliant, I would be very stressed and depressed.

I'd hate to see the rationalization of the same statements applied to females.

Self reliance, moderate application of emotions..... I guess I would be labeled a freak.....

Hey GG, are you really my wife keeping track of me on this forum?

That would describe her as well.

Since my spouse traveled for extended periods of time for work, self reliance was not an option. While physical limitations were about the only thing that kept me from taking care of certain things, I found that duct tape, lashing wire (or baling wire for some) a reciprocating saw and WD-40 were the worlds best inventions.

And while emotions can help mitigate/ventilate certain things, it's not going to get the job done.
