Secondly, just because you don't remember or weren't informed by your right wing media bubble, does not mean that there were not many similar protests all throughout Obama's presidency.

Here was a nationwide Immigration protest in 2015

2014 was big also, with several immigration protests nationwide

If it is all about the border wall, then that is just plain dumb. The Border wall is about Illegal immigration, human trafficking, and the Drug trade.

Those protests were NOT created because 700 illegal aliens with criminal pasts were rounded up.

Let me show you the truth.
Day Without Immigrants (or A Day Without Immigrants) was a protest and boycott that took place on February 16, 2017, to demonstrate the importance of immigration,[1][2] and to protest President Donald Trump's plans to build a border wall and to potentially deport millions of illegal immigrants.[3]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_Wi...mmigrants_2017

NOT because of 700 criminal illegal immigrants.
It had to do with the bigger picture.
Per your request to document Democrats objetting to the deportation of criminal illegal aliens.

Quote:
Top Democrats and outside groups have decried the recent string of raids, arguing they are sparking fear in the Hispanic community.

Durbin argued on Thursday that the change threatens millions of undocumented immigrants currently in the country.

"[They] are currently living in the United States with no threat to our country, no criminal record, with strong families," he said.
https://www.google.com/amp/thehill.c...igration-order

The Durbin is Senator Durbin a Democrat. They object to the policy of actually enforcing our immigration laws, that includes deporting criminals.

Democrats supported Obama's policy of releasing criminal illegal aliens when their home country refused to take them back. Of course with Democrats blessing the Obama administration neglected to put pressure on the home country to take their criminals back, so why would they.

Remember the protests in AZ last week over deporting the illegal alien felon? Those were backed by pro amnesty Democrats.

It's not really. It's just a made up issue to get votes. If they cared about drugs they would stop doctors from over prescribing opiots.

Much of the media is making a much bigger deal of this than it really is.
Like Saltwyn said, "fight Trump". That is the mantra. It doesn't matter that Mr. Obama did it, all that matters is Mr. Trump is doing it now and we don't like him.

Redstate sites less than a dozen articles spanning the entire 8 years Mr. Obama was president. Pfft, compare that to well over a dozen articles (from the same news companies) in the past two weeks about deportations occuring since Mr. Trump took office. (Hint to Redstate; Saltwyn is right, it's about fighting Mr. Trump, not about deportation (of illegal aliens).

From foundit66,
Quote:

Since his quote is from wikipedia, I don't feel bad for parsing it.

I'm unsure why anybody would find illegal immigration acceptable. The USA has immigration laws, as do almost all countries. Why are our immigration laws suddenly "unacceptable"? Why is enforcing them suddenly a problem. Mr. Trump didn't write those immigration laws, he merely wrote an order to start enforcing them.

------
Now then, I'm not sure a wall is the best method to keep out illegal aliens.
The best way to keep crows from invading your cornfield is to shoot them and leave the dead carcass in the field. The other crows see this and stop coming.
Perhaps we should shoot the illegal immigrants as they try to cross the border and leave the dead as a warning for others attempting the same. I'm sure that they would get the message.
