Default The Dirt Patrol

Right on the Mark: The Dirt Patrol

Now that we have both presidential tickets in place the mudslinging has begun a full court press. The recent focus is on the newly nominated vice-presidential candidates.

It's been revealed that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant. I guess this is supposed to disqualify Governor Palin from being vice-president. Isn't this really about as relevant as Billy Carter drinking so much we ended up with Billy Beer? Maybe we'll get "Bristol Baby Food" as a result.

Apparently Joe Biden received 5 deferments that kept him from serving in Vietnam. That's exactly the same as Dick Cheney. Although, Biden was disqualified for service later on for having asthma even though his asthma never kept him from participating in high school sports. And, the relevance is basically the same. Will the voters see it that way?

I bet most people will overlook the dirt on their candidate. However, the dirt on the opposing candidate will likely be a source of contempt. History proves that candidates on both sides of the political aisle have family members who are less than desirable as well as having done things that might be less than perfect.

Think about how you view the dirt on a candidate & if that view is consistent regardless if it's your preferred candidate or the opposing candidate. Wouldn't it be grand if everyone were consistent in their views?

Palin's daughter is no big. Neither is Biden's lack of military service.
I want substance from both the candidates and their VP choices.
Only a criminal act or some other remarkable occurrence would change my vote-which hasn't been decided yet.

Obama doesn't need to smear that much since he has his minions in the media and across the net doing his dirty work...

I can just imagine Obama walking into a room where there is no press pushing his fingers against each other like Montgomery Burns saying "Eeeeeexcellent!"...
