Fatimah Ali: We need Obama, not 4 more years of George Bush

AMERICA is on the brink of a long, harsh and bitterly cold winter, with a looming recession that the GOP won't even admit to.

The policies of the current White House have brutalized our economy, yet the wealthiest think that everything is fine.

Rich Republicans just don't understand that millions are suffering. But many of their working class do, and they're beginning to abandon their own party.

When lifelong Republican Barney Smith told the Democratic convention that he'd vote for Barack Obama for president, he gave pause to even the most conservative members of his party.

[...]

If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!

What a stupid, irresponsible bitch.

Just because someone can sling a sentence together doesn't mean they have the maturity to handle a position which allows them a podium from which they might influence thousands of people, or more.

This falls short of someone yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater, but it does show bad judgment.

And the only reason I am disseminating it is because I found it on Drudge and it will undoubtedly be spread no matter what.

This woman has got to be a complete idiot.

Apart from the fact that blacks seem to burn up only their own neighborhoods when agitated (Watts, etc.) does she think that the hated "white" folks are just going to be victims?

Not *this* honky....

Welcome to Political Wrinkles GLondon!...

White folks won't be victims because what she wrote simply won't happen...

95% of both the black community and white community (and everyone in between) is striving for the same thing...

Get through the workday, go home, have a meal, take off the shoes and put the feet up, and watch some prime-time with the family...You'll get some people to nip the bait, but I figure most black people are rolling their eyes at this trash as much as white people...

Really? Thats news to us.

Prosper Group Think: Democrats use a fake Republican from Grant County to introduce Barack Obama

Democrats use a fake Republican from Grant County to introduce Barack Obama

You may remember Barney Smith from Fairmount, Indiana. He spoke at the Democrat National Convention Thursday night and was one of the people who introduced Barack Obama. He will be remembered for the line "I want a president who cares more about Barney Smith than they do about Smith Barney." A great well-written line that many people remember.

On Thursday night in Denver, when he introduced Barack Obama, he claimed to be a "lifelong" Republican. But it looks like the Democrats lied about his affiliation, or at minimum never took the time to check him out.

You would think that with all those Republicans who are supposedly crossing over to vote for the Obamassaih the Democrats would have actually been able to find a real one.

Barney Smith's voter registration is clear. It shows that for the last 12 years he has voted in 3 primary elections. In 1996 he voted Democrat, in 2006 he voted Republican, and in 2008 he voted Democrat.

He may well have had Republican leanings, and how he voted in general elections is, of course, confidential. But would you say that voting in one Republican primary in the last 12 years would qualify a person to be a "lifelong" Republican?

Democrats are using a new standard of deciding who is of what party...

If they don't like Noam Chmosky, they must be a "lifelong Republican"...

Obama will speak to that in any concession speech he might have to give.
As well, I believe McCain will call for national unity if he loses also.
Both these men have more character than people like to give them credit for!

Blowhards on both sides say outrages crap. Its like when the wacko right says that the left won't protect the country. The real people that drive the country don't buy this stuff.
Lets not extrapolate beyond the moron making the comment..

You don't get it. Or you are trying to blow smoke up our bloomers.

You guys are walking portals for threats to this country. Liberals already willfully and intentionally subject the country to harm every day in order to make sociological statements. Because you are afraid of how it will look to act appropriately defensively you hold our doors open to dangers.

Remember Elizabeth Smart, the girl abducted by some guy her father brought to the house to make a sociological/religious statement?

Quote:
The Smarts sought to help unemployed people in the community by paying them for odd jobs or handy work around the property.[26] Mary Katherine now identified Mitchell as a man who had worked in the home for one day in November 2001, but who went by the name "Emmanuel." Lois and some of the children had met him downtown as he was asking for spare change. He was clean, soft-spoken, well-groomed, Caucasian, 5’8" tall, had dark hair, and was "about 45 years old". It seemed clear[citation needed] that "Emmanuel" was not his real name, but had something to do with his self-proclaimed calling as a minister to the homeless. He worked at the Smarts' home for five hours, helping on the roof and raking leaves. While they worked together on Ed's roof, he told Ed that he was traveling to different cities preaching to the homeless.

Elizabeth A. Smart - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The first priority is safety. Religious and sociological considerations are secondary.

You guys don't understand this.

Some liberals still think Islam is like Lutheranism.

Muslims should not be treated with less than respect and good will unless there is a reason not to. However, as wonderful as 80% of all Muslims might be, the Koran instructs Muslims to conquer the Earth and apply Allah's laws over all. This may be done forcefully or peacefully. It may be done quickly or slowly. But there is no question the instructions are still operative.

Liberals think that as long as people act nicely that there is no threat.

That is why you can't be trusted with national security.

You are trying to recreate the Civil Rights era of the 1960's and in the role of the negroes you have substituted Muslims.

This misperception will lead to a day this country will regret.

And you haven't a fucking clue.
