Read the posts in order, preferably using threaded view, slowly and with attention to detail, possibly while taking notes to understand the natural evolution of this conversation.

You should also bear in mind that people of a more advanced mentality, and thus free of the Leftist need for sloganeer-style pseudo-thinking tend to connect many related topics as well as historical events in a multidimensional set of arrays.

In the brighter days before the political and social opinions of deeply uniformed people were commonly taken seriously in polite society, the practice was often referred to as "intelligent discourse."

I can hear right wing posters (if there were and internet then) calling for the arrest of paul revere and the other participants heads. How dare they interfere with a corporation's property and all that. Conservatives will always side with those in control. Today it's the huge corporations and multibillionaires that get the lion's share of obedience and admiration from conservatives.
If Conservatives will always side with those in power, why do so many of us call for a Constitutional Convention?

And as junior high school students used to be taught before Progressivism transformed public Education into indoctrination centers, the Founders were profoundly Conservative, since their motivation was preserving the traditional Rights of Englishmen which they were being denied by King George. They looked also to the institutions of Ancient Rome, not the universities in Europe. (See: Influence of Cato on Founders)

They were also very big on the preservation of their property rights, and had no interest whatsoever in wacky redistribution schemes, and little in extending the franchise to the ignorant and unproductive, a vital component of Progressivism. In fact, most held Athenian-style Democracy in deep contempt.

Read some actual history, sometime. It might be painful, but it will be very good for you.

Not that this has anything to do with the OP, but TR want after JP Morgan and US steel, Carnegie Steel was bought out by US steel in 1901, the same year TR ascended to the presidency upon William McKinley's death.

Teddy Roosevelt was a republican, but he also was a progressive. In spades.

JP Morgan and his buddies bought the presidency for McKinley and removed the threat of Roosevelt winning the election by convincing him to be the VP. It brought the GOP New York votes as well as the influence of Teddy's rich friends.
Then a gun goes off and JP Morgan is presented with an enemy, a flaming Progressive, in the office of the President. Surprise!

I'm sure there was a flurry of mocking after that. And talk about diversity, the GOP, and the nation, went politically from one side to the other overnight.

The Democrats, on the other hand, are far more stable. Hell, it took them over 100 years to go from Jim Crow/KKK policies to the Pseudo MLK they are today..

Is that a mocking tone? Uh,,, yep!
