Default A victory for rationalism in California?

Stand up and cheer for the academic standards at UC, and the LA Federal Judge whose ruling on accrediting courses taught in Christian schools upholds these standards.

A federal judge in Los Angeles has thrown out the remaining claims of Calvary Chapel Christian School, which sued the University of California alleging university officials rejected some courses for credit because of their Christian viewpoint.
Pharyngula: A victory for rationalism in California
Churches and church-sponsored schools are free to teach all the nonsense they want to willing, tuition-paying participants, but they must not be free of the consequences of setting their egregiously misinformed students loose in the real world.
This guy writes like the muddle headed poop player that he is.
So, a religious course will no longer be recognized for accreditation in California, simply because there's a majority of atheists on the board at UC!
Talk about prejudiced!

Some college in California used to have (and still might) a course for 1 or 2 credits that teaches Klingon.
But that's O.K. long as none of the Klingons was named Jesus.

Religion has more history in it than most other historical events...

It's a shame that some refuse to teach the bible based on a belief there are parts they don't conside real and then, in the next breath, will command their students to read a story about an old man fictionally catching a whale or a farm where the animals talk in perfect English and set up their own form of government...

What is shocking for me to realize is that educated people really think this way!
And I'm surprised too that any thing else that comes out of California can make me blink.
To hell in a hand basket is the phrase I think I'm looking for.
The staff and parents of fully accredited (until now!) private schools should march in the street. But I guess the streets are a little crowded with illegals wanting welfare and Mothers against everything.

A religious course? They are talking about an American history course.

And an American history course that teaches "that the Bible is the unerring source for analysis of historical events" and "attributes historical events to divine providence rather than analyzing human action" is crap. It doesn't deserve accreditation.
