You're pointing out exceptions to the rule...

In ANY situation that arises, when the options are A) Going for someone with no experience...and B) going with someone with lots of experience...It would just plain dumb to go with option "A"...

Do these sound reasonable to you?...

"I know the general can command, but I'll let the private just out of boot camp lead the way"...

"This guy was a former CEO of two companies and an excellent candidate for the board to recommend, but we'll go with the guy with 2 years in the sales department instead."

Of course not...

Now is there a CHANCE the private would end up doing better than the general?...Of course...COULD the guy from sales do a better job than a former CEO?...absolutely...

But the CHANCES of that are remotely slim...And when it 95% against 5%, betting on the latter is just plain ignorant...It's a fashionable trend like betting on the 12th seed in the NCAA tournament...Saying "Well the 12th seed beat the 2nd seed once!" doesn't negate the 85 times they didn't...

I know him for his actions...not his frilly words...

He says he's a uniter...Then sits in silence while his spiritual mentor condemns white people and the country...

He says he's for Israel...After sitting for many dinners in the house of Rashid Khalidi, then has a political advisor who was holding secret meetings with Hamas...

He says he'll defend America...after sitting on a board with and having a a political fundraiser in the home of a convicted terrorist who bombed the Pentagon...

He says doesn't accept PAC money...after 2/3 of his campaign cash in the Illinois Senate came from PACs...

He says he'll reach across the aisle...after his voting record was found to be the MOST liberal in all of the Senate...

YOU are just listening to the words...I see the actions...and they are 180 degrees from what he says...

And I must say...The sheep's clothing looks AMAZING!...

Why when everyone around him can do it?...Then he can claim ignorance time and time again about how he's just so SHOCKED (SHOCKED I say!) that his good friends and associates could ever say such things...

You have yet to say why McCain is a general and Obama a private. LOL McCain wrecked something like five planes. Other then his capture and years in captivity he wasn't really doing too well. But you might be right given his pedigree, he would have been promoted regularly. But I think we know what camp your in. So lets agree to canceling each others votes out.
