Gosh, Spence, what a new concept. You just reminded us we don't need permission to set our own rules for our own crap!

Americans, get ready to think for yourselves!
I like it.

That's pretty much it...It IS up to us...

Oil companies make LESS than one dime on every gallon...So how can companies make 30 billion a year?...simple...

They SOLD enough to make 30 billion at one dime per gallon of gas...That's how...

What should they do?...Only make 15 billion?...That's a savings of 5 cents on the gallon, which means you'd be paying $3.55 instead of $3.60...

I bet you'll be a lot happier for that...

Oil is tied to the dollar. But I think the companies also padded some more profit in there.
As for us using more. I don't use more. My daughter doesn't either. My son uses the same amount he did last year. People I know continue on the same track as far as work goes. And considering unnecessary travel, the idiots that travel at the drop of a hat have been doing it for a few years now. The only new consumption I can think of would be immigrants. And new drivers. No, Big Oil is making more than 10 cents per gal. Maybe that's all they show they are making. That's why they hire bookkeepers.

This country's population has exploded in the last decade (Thank you illegal immigration )...

And extra 30 million people jumping in...How much oil would NOT be used if they weren't around?...

How much would OTHER countries be using had their people NOT gone to the US?...

That right there would level things out a little...

I believe Spencer answered in two post that explaines the thought. But what if we crumble or so many lost their jobs. The profit will drop then too. So what is wrong with the fact that the land is owned by the people. But you need not worry as most every time the govt. allows any business to use our land they about give it away.

The average citizen has his own song
"If the devil danced in empty pockets (He'd have a ball in mine)"
Quote:
If the Devil danced in empty pockets, he'd have a ball in mine.
With a nine foot grand, a ten piece band and a twelve girl chorus line.
I'd raise some loot in a three piece suit, give 'em one dance for a dime,

They say debt is a bottomless pit where the devil likes to play.
I'd sell my soul to get out of this hole, but there'd be hell to pay.
-lyrics by Joe Diffie
