I am with Romney on this one. And no, I don't care that he is rich. He has the right to be rich if he is successful. Being rich doesn't make him a bad person nor does it disqualify him from successful leadership.

I think this whole letter by a "war vet" was made up.
I think that I'm going to get a real war vet to write a letter and then get it spread all over the internet. Of course, then I'd be called a liar, since it would support a conservative POV and I couldn't prove that the person who wrote the letter was real, did really write the letter, was really a veteran, that the letter contained his ideas and that it was really written with quill from a California Condor.

My husband is a veteran and suffers from survivors guilt. Although he wasn't in the war zone after leaving Korea he chose to go home instead of reup with a bonus. His buds were reassigned to new units and most were killed. We had to ask a vet group he had joined to quit sending him email updates cause his "update on ...from ___" was always mostly empty. And it was a constant reminder.
He is very liberal as I have stated before, so it should come as no surprise to y'all, but to me who knows him and knows he doesn't offend easily, it was something noticable that he was terribly offended by the 47% comment.

Alls I am saying is that the whole thing reeks of one of those forwarded email things you get from your crazy, widowed aunt. It usually comes after about 10 random pictures of cats doing cute things and a couple of prayers for some parapalegic infant in Uganda who gets 10 cents from microsoft every time the letter is forwarded.

Well, salty, that holds a lot more water with me than some open email picked up off the net somewhere. But that's because we have been interacting with each other for damned near 5 years.

I'm thinking, at this point, we can just chuck all the ads, emails and tv. We should know what the respective positions are and be able to compare them to our own views.
The American public has been very easy going and patient with this extremely long campaign. Many are sick of it. I certainly am.

I don't believe the 'testimonials' in most bulk type emails either and I get em from both sides.
