It will be interesting to see this play out...
The governors may resist, but at what cost?
The mentality of "Don't steal from medicare to support socialized healthcare" and "Keep government out of medicaid" will sound great initially, but the reality of those situations (um sir, you ARE taking government money... ) will sink in.

They just reported on MSNBC about this. Apparently Florida currently has 900,000 citizens that will be qualified under this medicaid expansion. I'd like to see how an already extremely unpopular Governor tells those 900,000 people to stick it, he's not taking the money.

The headline is a lie...Thank you, media...

Maybe if you clarify which part is the lie?.. You said the headline was a lie.. so now you're saying only part of it was a lie?...

It's a lie of omission...

Unlike what the headline says, Florida will STILL be receiving Medicaid money...Maybe not all of it available, but the headline reads as if NO Medicaid money will be taken...

yeah I got that part, Agreed that part is a lie. There's also a lie in the actual article .

What they are failing to tell people is that for the first three years the Federal Government is funding the Medicaid expansion 100%. so the States don't have to expand their budgets for at least three years. Then after that the Government will fund Medicaid as much as 93%.. which means the states can still afford it.

No I think most people especially in Florida are aware they are talking about the expansion of medicare under obama care.
