Gee, does this mean that FDR's presidency was a mistake? (It was, of course, but not because he was filthy rich. It isn't even because he was marred to his cousin, or thought that Asians were inherently inferior to Caucasians.)

Keep in mind: the Roosevelts (both), Kennedy, the Bush's (both of them) came from very priveledged backgrounds. (hmm...I notice you leave out the Bushes in your diatribe) Yet despite that, they were able to connect to, and understand people of other economic backgrounds. Can Romney do this? I think in his case, assuming what the article says is accurate - he will struggle with it, isolating himself as he does in select enclaves of the wealthy. Very much like Gore does when he lives in an energy sucking mansion while expounding on global warming.
