Crap

I actually read it in the newspaper and then looked it up on line. I'll see if I can find it again.

Gee, does this mean that FDR's presidency was a mistake? (It was, of course, but not because he was filthy rich. It isn't even because he was marred to his cousin, or thought that Asians were inherently inferior to Caucasians.)

Oh, and then there was JFK< richer than the dreams of Midas. I guess we'd better tear down those embarrassing monuments and erect some to Lee Harvey Oswald, who saved us for the despotism of the Wealthy.

And Romney might be every bit as caring as they were. He seems like a nice guy.

I say it because a democrat, wealthy or otherwise, might quite possibly do something for the average citizen. Something I think is impossible for a republican,

Hey!...how about that Ted Kennedy being so out-of-touch he spent ONLY 47 years in elected offices?...

Why can't they just come out and say "Rich Republicans are bad but rich Democrats are good?"...At least be honest with their bias...

Oh, I have no doubt he is, in a Thurston Howell the Third sort of way.

I'll repeat what I said several times but you've ignored it. The point IS NOT THAT HE IS FILTHY RICH.

So what on earth are you going on about because it just isn't making any sense in the context of the OP. Who cares what FDR thought about Asians? That is irrelevent and I am guessing a diversion on your part

Is it just a knee-jerk attack on rich liberal presidents?

Keep in mind: the Roosevelts (both), Kennedy, the Bush's (both of them) came from very priveledged backgrounds. (hmm...I notice you leave out the Bushes in your diatribe) Yet despite that, they were able to connect to, and understand people of other economic backgrounds. Can Romney do this? I think in his case, assuming what the article says is accurate - he will struggle with it, isolating himself as he does in select enclaves of the wealthy. Very much like Gore does when he lives in an energy sucking mansion while expounding on global warming.

Again, shut up (said very nicely with a chocolate cookie for emphasis) for a moment, and quit jerking your knees. How about actually reading the article and responding to it instead of what you think it is?

Seriously...explain to me how the Republicans can maintain a narrative of an elitist president who takes expensive vactions all the time when their candidate has multiple milliondollar homes and an elevator for his car?
