Default Forbes: Gov. Scott Walker Has Lost The War

Gov. Scott Walker Has Lost The War - Rick Ungar - The Policy Page - Forbes

In what may be the result of one of the great political miscalculations of our time, Scott Walkerís popularity in his home state is fast going down the tubes.

A Rasmussen poll out today reveals that almost 60% of likely Wisconsin voters now disapprove of their aggressive governorís performance, with 48% strongly disapproving.

While these numbers are clearly indicators of a strategy gone horribly wrong, there are some additional findings in the poll that I suspect deserve even greater attention.

It turns out that the stateís public school teachers are very popular with their fellow Badgers. With 77% of those polled holding a high opinion of their educators, it is not particularly surprising that only 32% among households with children in the public school system approve of the governorís performance. Sixty-seven percent (67%) disapprove, including 54% who strongly disapprove.

Amen! Let this be a spotlight on the path that the republicans want to follow.

Well, he does suck. He brought this on himself. Can't blame media for his suckiness.

Actually it was the gutless coward Democrats who brought this on themselves.

I'm not worried. They can't hide from their jobs forever and his numbers will go back up after the MSM pulls out

Don't sweat it cnredd. The guy who wrote this is a full fledged liberal so of course he wants conservatives to admit defeat when we have the upper hand.

The dems didn't call for this bill to be passed eliminating rights of workers to collectively bargain...that was the republican Koch-puppet/Walker and the repubs. People in Wisconsin see the truth, thus the polling results.

You can support Democrats running away from their jobs because they don't have the votes thumbing your nose in the face of our government system all you like.

I have no respect for anyone who would support government workers running from their jobs because they didn't win the election.

You aren't going to win this. We will

Well the conservatives won't win in the long run. It's contrary to empirical evidence. The conservative movement has temporary moments of resurgence followed by continual movements towards liberalism.

The least of my concerns is whether or not you respect me for who or what I support.

I guess time will tell who wins, my friend. I think the people have the advantage here.

So it's the media's fault, that Walker's sneak attack on middle-income Americans has been shown the light of day?
