I don't know why you always want to put me in the Liberal party. I would like you to show me the liberal I have supported in this forum. Don't you think you can be anti the Bush presidency without being a member of the opposite side. Lets get something clear. I don't support either party. I can't think of any of the current leaders I support in the Democrat party. I like some from both parties. Congressmen Flake (R) from Arizona is a good representative. For example. Arnold is another good republican. And there are others I like. I like real conservatives. Because real conservatism is more akin to libertarianism then the right wingers that showed up after Reagan. Social and religious conservatives grabbed a hold of the party. I nwill say this. I think we are all both Lib and Con. All of us. Its just a matter of degree.

This is exactly what I would expect: a country justifying questionable actions and policies to a critical world.

A great tie-in to the point I was trying to make on the Will Smith and Hitler thread: NO ONE views themselves as evil. No COUNTRY pounds its collective chest patriotically and shouts "We are the bad guys! We do bad things!"

And as I said there, sometimes a certain amount of rationalization is required to justify to oneself or to one's countrymen that a certain action or policy is NOT evil, even if it actually is.
