Kind of like saying "OMG! It started in a year that ended in seven!"
So then explain to me just exactly how it's Pres. Bush's fault and not Congress's... That should be pretty simple for you.

Because most people of reasonable intelligence recognize that the crap-storm that developed into the current economic crisis was instigated over the course of MANY years.

I could challenge you to NAME ME ANY policy that the liberal 2006 congress supposedly could have enacted that would have been so disasterous that it resulted in the 2007 economic recession, but we both know you can't do it...
There's NO doubt that the actions of the last admin. had a lot to do with the position we're in today, but the fact is that the biggest cause of the economic breakdown was that the market lost confidence. There were a lot of things that in hindsight I wish the Bush admin. had done differently (failure to cut spending, dropping interest rates so low that people stopped saving and jacked up borrowing being the two biggest ones), but it wasn't until the market saw that the Dems. were clearly going to take control that things collapsed. These kind of events do not happen because of one or two things, but rather a combination of issues coming together until they hit a critial mass and that last straw on the camel's back lands. In this case, it was the loss of confidence triggered by the Dems. taking Congress that was that straw. The massive debt and failure to pay off that debt (by both consumers and the gov't) created the scenario, but it was the Dems. taking Congress that pushed things over the edge. I think that we have eventually ended up in a recession, since the debt is simply too high, but the sudden drop in consumer confidence was DIRECTLY related to the Dems. taking Congress.

Notice when consumer confidence took a dive???

You keep trying to change the subject.
I didn't say "CONGRESS" had no culpability.

I was saying it was stupid to try to blame the Congress that was elected in 2006 for this.

Way to make stupid junk up...

Care to prove any of that?
Nah. Of course you haven't even thought about whether there is any evidence that your allegations are true.
It sounds good to you, ergo you think it's just gotta be true...

Well, let me debunk your stupid junk for you, 'mmkay?
Here's a graph of the investor's confidence index over the time-frame in question.
Did it drop with any significance after the 2006 election?
In fact, we can see what looks to be about a 20% rise afterwards...

I realize that Democrats in office make some Republicans, like yourself, crap themselves...
... but the rest of us aren't so easily scared.

After 2007?
YEAH! I notice that!

Leave it to you to try to grab a graph so zoomed out that you could try to blur the lines between the years...
