If that comes from a place of "I support gay equality and oppose laws discriminating against gays", then I can have some respect for that position.

If it comes from a place of "I support legislated gay discrimination, and don't want to hear you talk about it. Just be discriminated against and out of my sight.", then quite frankly you are part of the reason why "gay pride" exists in the first place.

You deserve to have the "details" shared with you, if you think the "details" warrant discrimination.


If that were true, we wouldn't have laws saying gays can't serve in the military.
If that were true, we wouldn't have laws saying gays can't adopt.
If that were true, we wouldn't have laws saying gays can't have sex, which got overturned against the wishes of many who DID NOT apply it "both ways".
