How was he supposed to stop it, other than what he did do? Physically go stand in front of them?

If you want to claim he's culpable, then there needs to be a investigation into those who incited, promoted, assisted and supported other riots of 2020-2021. Funny, that includes the Veep.....

sean certainly lied in real time asking the president to call off his people while stating on air that these were antifa.
Tucker, Laura and Hannity have all debunked the accusations they said different things publicly than what they communicated to Meadows. Liz Cheney's stunt of abusing Congressional authority by first issuing subpoenas out of partisan hatred and then making false accusations based on revealing the contents publicly in service of the Democrats campaign of political repression is typical of Marxist totalitarian regimes.

Of course you won't research to find what the FNC hosts actually said in their initial reporting just parrot the rampant dishonesty of Liz Cheney never Trumpers.

BTW Liz Cheney is trailing her leading opponent by 20 points in the Republican primary. Her own constituents reject her but Democrats can't resist a useful idiot.

Yeah, I don't think you are the type who would stand in front of the crowd and warn them that they will continue to trample the capitol only by going through your body first. I guess just about everybody wants to be a comedian, or lawyer. What you claim as an opportunity for Trump to have done is just as stupid as having gun manufacturers stand on street corners all around high crime cities, pleading for the bad guys to stop their nonsense with their firearms.

Sorry, edited to say some media hosts did text POTUS directly. T Jr texted him through Meadows as did some other people.
_______
What you need to ask yourself is why they were texting him. Is it because they thought he was enjoying what was going on that he was watching live on tv, or did they text him because they thought he was incompetent and needed their help?

He could have immediately made an Oval Office address demanding that they stop and leave the Capitol and telling anyone listening that had the ability to contact rioters to tell them that Trump insisted that they stop immediately. We know that someone in the White House was in direct contact with rioters in the Capitol and they had the ability to send such a message to the rioters. Trump, however, chose to let the rioting continue.

Oh, enough silliness! Every ass hole is responsible for his actions, and he can't go around blaming another person as the instigator. Remember the catch phrase from yesteryear? "I vas chust followink ordurs from mein fuhrer."

November4th text message to MM day after election(by unknown congressman):

Lawmaker to Meadows
Here's an aggressive strategy
why can't the states of Ga, NC, PENN
and other R controlled state houses declare this is BS(where conflicts and election not called that night) and just send their own electors to vote
and have it go to the SCOTUS

So, he or she is basically saying,
" we dont know who won these states yet, here's an aggressive strategy, I dont care, lets promote it as fraud".

Don't you know? All the Jan 6th rioters were carrying portable TV's and AM radios while they were at the capital.

If by debunked you mean lying. Their texts were turned over to investigation committee. the texts are public now because they were read into the session.
So blatant liars like some knew all along but maybe if some only watch certain media they will see.

So any of a multitude of Democrats should've done the same with each federal building that was set on fire and/or destroyed during the 2020 riots in Liberal cities across the country, and then accepted their responsibility in fomenting the riots themselves...right?...

RIGHT?...

Or is that different?...
