I think I prefer a muse as I like being amused. Amuse is also contagious!
Being currently employed as a truck driver it is definitely other people on the roads supplying me with pet peeves to the limits of my endurance.
Probably my biggest pet peeve though is when someone with half (or less) of the information about a subject tries to convince me that I have formed an improper opinion on a subject and when you give them incontrovertible facts they still argue their viewpoint without even considering how stupid they are acting.

The opposite of a pet peeve? The things that make you happy to see. That is a beautiful list.

Peeve.....The people that try to convince me that certain republican candidates should not be supported in the primaries because they "cannot win". What do they think that the primaries are for. It is supposed to bring out the candidate that AFTER the primary is the ONE that all republicans will support. Until it is decided which one then it is totally wrong to deny support to any of our candidates.
Biggest examples of this are Duncan Hunter and ex-gov Huckabee. They are actually the 2 most conservative candidates and reflect more directly the viewpoints of most republicans but they keep getting shorted on support because "the polls" say something else. Also I bet you didn't even know that Alan Keyes (a great black American) is trying to get into the race again.

Peeve.....When those idiot liberals start spreading a lie and keep repeating it till morons believe it to be true and then they use that lie to support even more salacious arguments. It reminds me of how Satan would convince you to give up your soul.

I rambled and roamed and hit some weird thoughts but it felt good to let them release from my pent-up consciousness.

Well that's what we're here for. To make you feel all better. NOT!

My pet peeve is how, to my knowlege, no Disc Jockey anywhere seems capable of playing Queen's "We Will Rock You" without playing "We are the Champions" right afterward.

People .... they are TWO SEPERATE SONGS!!!!! At no time did God, the laws of the universe, the state or the ghost of Freddy Mercury ever once lay down a decree that both these songs just HAD to be played together as if they were only one song.

Who started this stupid tradition? And where, or where, is the DJ with the balls to break it... and say, "guess what folks, I'm gonna play ONLY "We Will Rock You," and I don't want to hear anybody whine about it!

Plus, the first song is good, but the second one kinda sucks.... so I never get to fully enjoy the first one, without that creeping sense of dread that the sucky follow-up is coming next.

They do the same thing with "Foreplay/Long Time" by Boston...

I find certain aspects of radio to be very annoying these days, and--let's be kind here--a tad less than artistic. The music choices and mixing thereof is the absolute biggest pet peeve of all.

I can't tell you how sick of "Flashback Friday" I am. I LIVED through the 80s as an adult (radio & rock & roll bands all a part of it). I know for CERTAIN that there were more than 20 good songs in that decade! Keeripes! I mean "Walking on Sunshine," "Love Shack," and "Material Girl" are all good songs but for GAWDSAKES radio people--dig up a few more!!!
