I may want one president to meet with an adversary and a different president to stay as far away as possible...That's not being hypocritical...That's being pragmatic, knowing the disposition of each president in question...
really?
How exactly is the ANY US president meeting with any other nation from a position of weakness.

Do you mean that Biden is old and weak and shouldn't meet?
Ok I get that. but He shouldn't meet with ANYONE if that's really the case.
But Trump was so enamored with Putin that he probably shouldn't have met with Putin either. All the praise he lathered on him before and after the meetings didn't seem very "strong".

But in general can someone explain to me when could any U.S. president be seen as "weak" going into any meeting with a foreign power?
The U.S. is literally the 800 pound gorilla of the world.
In every respect.

I'm not sure how people can view our country as operating form a position or "weakness" .
It's like when people whine about our military not being as strong as it was or could be, when the U.S. military is larger and more funded than the next 10 to 20 nations COMBINED.
Excuse me but, seriously, how the H3ll is that "weak"?

And that's where I stop reading...I suggest you take this to CNN since you're vying for an anchor position...

thank you for saying that. I hope the discussions here continue to be based on actually reading the other person's words or watching at least enough of a video to get the gist and not just pull something unrelated out of a sewer like they do on some other forums.
